Coke is still it!
It was a proud moment for us when we were asked to help with some of Coca-Cola’s digital assets for their website!
Originally marketed as a temperance drink and intended as a patent medicine, it was invented in the late 19th century by John Stith Pemberton and was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing tactics led Coca-Cola to its dominance of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century.
The drink’s name refers to two of its original ingredients: coca leaves, and kola nuts (a source of caffeine). The current formula of Coca-Cola remains a trade secret – even we don’t know!
April Fools Day
A lot of brands like to have a play with their social media on April Fools Day. Recent times have seen Coca-Cola release many new limited edition flavours so perhaps it’s not a surprise to see an anouncement like the below. But avacado, charcoal and sourdough?!?
We designed the creative for this piece that had a few people spitting out their morning cornflakes at the idea of these rather bizarre sounding soft drink flavours. I mean they sound revoltingly awful but the design is lovely right? 🤣
Website Assets
Our main work for Coca-Cola was to help design digital assets for their website home page to help promote new and exciting innovations, fun social media exercises and information about the phenomenon that is Coca-Cola.
Did Somebody Say Video?
As well as digital assets we were also asked to create a storyboard for a fun Christmas recipe video. Who ever thought you could make Coca-Cola cookies? Below is a sample of that storyboard, if you’d like the recipe for the Christmas treats give us a shout!
